These are some recent photos of new school projects in Lawrence, KS by Sabatini Architects. They are: Lawrence High School, Lawrence College and Career Center, and Kennedy Elementary.
The list of 19 Collateral Events at the Biennale Architecture 2016 was announced yesterday, you’ll find Time Space Existence listed on page 4.
And an update: My photos have been shipped off; Giulia with the GAA Foundation tells me they are released from Italian Customs and have arrived successfully in Venice. And just so you know not a single detail of the adventure will be go unreported: I have decided on a paint color for the wall they will hang on: RAL 7005 “Mouse Grey”.
I am very honored and thrilled to announce that I’ve been invited to present my architectural photography at the GAA Foundation’s Time Space Existence exhibit at the 2016 Venice Architectural Biennale, and with a generous grant from the European Cultural Center I will indeed be participating! The exhibit has traditionally featured the works of architects but is expanded this year to include architectural photography as well. Fellow invitees include Toyo Ito, Peter Eisenman and Zaha Hadid. I’m just sayin’.
The photo is of the 2014 Biennale, taken by Marcus Bredt.
Stay tuned for updates…
A monograph on the work of David Chipperfield Architects was just published by El Croquis, and includes a couple of my photos of the East Building addition to the St. Louis Art Museum – get your copy HERE.
I don’t how I forgot to post the photos from that shoot, but here they are finally. Sometimes it takes a wake-up nudge from Spain…
These are photos from a recent road-trip I took to see the gorgeous new addition to the School of Architecture building at the “U of Ark” in Fayetteville – designed by Marlon Blackwell with Polk Stanley Wilcox. I was very graciously allowed to snoop around with a camera for the day and cause all their students to wonder if somebody should phone security. And for you fans of Architectural Photography Rock-Stars: I ran into Peter Aaron and Francis Dzikowski on campus! They were taking photos at another new building nearby… I didn’t get autographs, so you’ll just have to take my word.
