This has nothing to do with photography or architecture – but with my growing outrage at all things plastic. I read about the floating plastic trash island in the Pacific and then look into my own refrigerator at the throw-away containers we continue to use and am disgusted at my own complacence. Until now! It occurred to me that cave-men and people of the 1900’s, even, didn’t use plastic to store their leftovers – they used glass jars with metal lids! So here are a couple sources for long lasting, recyclable jars to use in place of oil-spill inducing tupperware. The first is for classic old-style canning jars, the second is the coolest collection of every kind of jar imaginable. We shall overcome!
